On this page we'll tell you about cool places to eat in Louisville! I'd write more, but I know the only word you read in the title was food, so why should I expect you to read any of this?
Koreana II 5009 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213
Did you guess Korean food? You got it! It's amazing! It's a little hole in the wall. Looks a little shady on the outside, but worth going in. The hardest things to do here: order, pay, and chose what you what to eat. Tip? Take a Korean friend with you. Also, they really know how to cook beef. I even had some pickled seaweed which was strangely good. I also had some pickled radish... not as amazing...
Cafe Thuy Van 5600 National Turnpike, Louisville, KY 40214
A nice little Vietnamese cafe. I've only had their soup and spring rolls. Awesome! I love soup, and they give you a bowl as big as your head. I have no idea what either soup was called, but one of them had squid in it. Which I ate like a champ fool! Not a whole lot of parking and very crowded on Sundays. ****Cash Only!!!
Havana Rumba 4115 Oechsli Ave, Louisville, KY 40207
The name says it all! Amazing food! And occasionally, they have live music. Tons of options, I try something new every time I go there. The people there are awesome, my friends have had waiters take pictures, see what I mean? They'll tell you about the food, if it's hot, recommendations, whatevas.

Shalimar 1850 S Hurstbourne Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40220
Indian food. Beware of the curry! I've went there once. Ate a bunch of food, had no idea how my system felt about curry, and spent a lot of time in the bathroom afterward. Psh, I can admit it. The food was worth it. The service was great, my water glass was never empty. And they will help you with food selection :)

Hammerheads 921 Swan St, Louisville, KY 40204
Here's a cool little basement converted to a bar/ restaurant. GREAT service, really cool people, really cool menu. They sell beef, duck, elk, lamb, some seafood, and Venison. Oh! Oh! And they have pretzel buns which the server told me "are made by a German guy, so they're awesome!" I didn't try one, but two of my friends did and swear by them. Go forth and try this place out!

Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen 2525 Bardstown Rd, Louisville
Ummm... the title contains the words 'ice cream' and 'pie' need I say more? I mean, it's on Bardstown road, if you think it's going to make you fat (rolls eyes) just walk this cool street, you'll forget all about it.

Cefiore 1500 Bardstown Rd, Louisville
A nice little frozen yogurt cafe. They usually have three flavors to chose from, a nice selection of toppings including these bubble things that I don't actually know what they're called. You gotta get those. Trust me. Not a lot of space to sit inside, but there are also chairs outside... not a lot of parking. But it's good!

Lula's Frozen Yogurt 1501 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40205
It's right across the street from Cefiore. I'm not even kidding. They have more options and more toppings, but they are more expensive and you are probably a college student. But they do have cake batter flavored frozen yogurt... tough choice I know. It's good.
Sunergos Coffee 2122 S Preston St, Louisville/ 306 W Woodlawn Ave, Louisville
Two locations, same great coffee (actually, I don't drink coffee... but they have great hot chocolate!). Woodlawn is bigger than S. Prestion and has a little more parking. S. Preston is street parking only. However, S. Preston is located next to an awesome bakery which I'll tell you about next.

Nord's Bakery 2118 S Preston St Louisville, KY 40217
See, I promised I'd tell you about the awesome bakery. Heard of the famous doughnut with bacon on top? Comes from this place. They also make a pretty sweet bear claw. They're really sweet, the people and the goods! Street parking.

The Silver Dollar 1761 Frankfort Ave, Louisville, KY 40206
This one is a little more expensive than the places above. Kinda of a southern home cookin' as they say. Lots of drink options. Are they good? I don't know, fool, I don't drink. The food was good though. And I must tell you, their cornbread is amazing. It is, trust me. Plus, they didn't look at me weird for having paintball in my hair and one my face (hey, no one told me we were going to eat out). Street parking.

The Falafel House 1001 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40204
Since you're most likely in college and thus like to try foreign food AND are on a budget this place is perfect! Located on a corner of Bardstown road down Baxter avenue this cozy Mediterranean restaurant has a great atmosphere and amazing classics like falafels and falafel wraps, hummus, stuffed grape leafs, seasoned rice, lamb kabobs... the works! Most things on the menu are under $10... WELL under. As a vegetarian I love all the options and I usually order something for around five or six dollars. It's the best!
Highland Morning 1416 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40204
YOU GUYS. OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS.
YOU GUYS. SRSLY.
This place is just tops. They've only been around for about a year now but they are the best place to get some classy, sassy, slap-yo-momma breakfast and brunch. Hell eat here for lunch or dinner! With a wide variety of really good breakfast based meals, you'll be coming back again and again for more. I order the Eggss Benedict spin off (Baja Benedict I think it's called?) and I have to tell you at first I thought "wow this probably won't fill me up" but it did completely, which isn't typical for me when eating out. Outdoor seating when weather permits and great location make this place an A+.
Days Espresso & Coffee: 1420 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40204
Need to get out of the dorm/room/house/class/barn/boat/tree/spaceship and study? Days has you covered. One of the mighty Bardstown Road hot spots Days has great sitting options and a selection of fine locally made desserts and hand made sandwiches along with their house ground, top-notch quality coffee and coffee drinks. Don't drink coffee? No problem! Try a hot chocolate, seasonal apple cider, smoothie or other great beverage. My suggestion? Mocha Big Train. Trust me-- you'll get your bang for the buck.
Dairy Kastle: 575 Eastern Parkway Louisville, KY 40217
Most likely the most famous and generally loved ice cream joint in Louisville, this place has been around for generations and remains an untouched piece of Louisville history. Besides being privately owned, local, and just fantastic, the owner is there pretty much from open to close working along with his employees to provide surface to the absolutely MASSIVE crowds that congregate here (think line literally almost entering the street). Oftentimes you'll see a firetruck parked near-by and the entire station at the church across the street--fear not for this place is so popular with local firemen there is even a menu item named after them. Closed during the winter months, and with very limited parking and seating, Dairy Kastle is a hit you'll always make the struggle for! (**Cash only! just like in the good ol' days!!)
